Acute, non-life-threatening symptoms
Call before you set off. We will discuss whether your symptoms can be assessed at our clinic and when you can come in.
Burning, painful or frequent urination, suspected urinary tract infection, or symptoms that may be related to a sexually transmitted infection.
Vaginal discharge, mild lower abdominal discomfort or an urgent gynaecological concern. Please call first to discuss your symptoms.
Feeling unwell, fever or mild allergy symptoms that do not require hospital emergency care.
Assessment of digestive symptoms, nausea and mild abdominal pain, including consideration of causes that may need urgent hospital care.
Choose the card that best matches your symptoms, or read the information below.
Needing to urinate frequently and burning or pain when passing urine can be signs of a urinary tract infection. An infection may affect the bladder and, in some cases, the kidneys. The appropriate care is determined after a medical assessment.
Unusual discharge, changes to the skin around the genitals or pain during sex may suggest a sexually transmitted infection. Some infections cause no symptoms, so it is worth arranging an assessment if you are concerned.
When you call, tell us about: your urinary symptoms, any fever or lower back pain, and any concerns about infection.
If you have vaginal discharge, painful urination or mild lower abdominal discomfort, we will discuss by phone whether assessment at our clinic or specialist gynaecological care is appropriate.
If you need a pregnancy test, emergency contraception or STI testing, mention this when you call so that we can discuss the options currently available.
We do not treat pregnancy-related symptoms. These require gynaecological or emergency care.
Fever can accompany many different illnesses. Your temperature reading, general condition, how long you have been unwell and any other symptoms all help us assess the care you need.
Mild allergy symptoms may include itchy eyes, hay fever or skin symptoms. When you call, tell us if the symptoms followed a new medicine, food or insect sting.
Call 112 immediately for difficulty breathing, swelling of the tongue or throat, fainting or loss of consciousness.
Abdominal symptoms can have many causes, from minor digestive problems to conditions that require urgent hospital care. Their duration, severity and any changes help determine which assessment is needed.
Seek medical advice for pain or diarrhoea that is getting worse or not improving, fever, persistent loss of appetite or unexplained weight loss.
Call 112 for sudden severe abdominal pain, vomiting blood, bloody or black stools, feeling faint, or a hard abdomen that is painful to touch.
01
Tell us about your symptoms, when they started, whether you have a fever and whether your condition is getting worse.
02
We help assess whether a clinic visit or more urgent specialist care is appropriate.
03
The doctor assesses your condition, explains the next steps and refers you for further care if needed.
When you call, describe when your symptoms started, how severe they are and any other symptoms. Let us know if you are pregnant, have a chronic condition or have any known medicine allergies.
Bring your previous medical reports and a list of the medicines you take regularly. If you have measured a fever, note the temperature and the time of the reading.
Call 112 immediately for sudden severe abdominal pain, chest pain, difficulty breathing or loss of consciousness.
At UC Rendelő, doctors experienced in acute care assess non-life-threatening symptoms. The aim is to determine how urgent your condition is and which care pathway is appropriate.
We first consider whether your symptoms could be caused by a serious or life-threatening condition.
We explain the recommended treatment, what to do next and when to seek help again.
If urgent laboratory tests, a CT scan or specialist care are needed, we recommend and arrange assessment at a hospital emergency department.
Call 112 for chest pain, severe difficulty breathing, sudden severe abdominal pain, loss of consciousness or a severe allergic reaction.
We do not provide care for pregnancy-related symptoms, psychiatric conditions, medicine overdoses or patients under 16.
At our clinic, patients with internal medicine symptoms are seen by emergency physicians who have extensive experience in treating these types of complaints — not by internists. This service focuses primarily on assessing acute conditions and determining the necessary next steps. If an internist examination, ongoing care or hospital intervention is required, we will refer you accordingly.
We treat acute urinary tract infections, suspected recurrent fungal or bacterial infections, minor gynaecological symptoms (discharge, itching), mild allergic symptoms, fever, vomiting, diarrhoea and abdominal pain.
Yes, certain rapid tests can be performed immediately at the clinic, such as urine tests, CRP tests, or blood sugar measurements. For more detailed laboratory tests, we draw blood and send it to our contracted laboratory partner. We also have modern ultrasound and digital X-ray equipment on site.
No, urgent care services can be accessed without a referral. We will discuss on the phone which type of care is most appropriate for your symptoms.
Yes, based on the medical examination, we can issue an electronic prescription if needed. The prescribed medications can be redeemed at any pharmacy.
Bring a list of medications you regularly take, any previous medical records, and your GP referral if you have one. Let us know if you take blood thinners or have any known chronic conditions.
The consultation fee is HUF 33,000. We will explain any additional treatment costs in advance.
We value clear explanations and attentive, compassionate care.
