WHAT IS URGENT CARE?
UC Rendelő provides outpatient care for acute and chronic conditions, as well as injuries. Urgent care means assessing and treating conditions that are not life-threatening but need medical attention and may get worse if care is delayed.
Please call before you visit so we can advise you on the most appropriate care for your symptoms.
For a life-threatening emergency, call 112.
WHAT WE WORK TOWARDS
Our mission is to provide high-quality, safe healthcare that puts patients first. We also aim to set a positive example for other healthcare providers.
We work towards a community where physical, mental and social wellbeing all matter. We want to earn and keep our patients’ trust and be a valued partner in the community.
OUR VALUES
These principles guide how we care for our patients, make clinical decisions and work together.
We treat everyone with dignity. We listen carefully to your questions and take your individual needs, values and cultural background into account.
We build courteous, friendly and supportive relationships with our patients.
We see the whole person behind the symptoms. Our treatment recommendations draw on the available clinical evidence and your preferences.
Patients and their families are partners in the care team: we involve them in decisions.
We keep our knowledge up to date through ongoing professional development. We review our services, listen to the needs of our community and look for ways to improve care.
Patient safety, quality improvement and risk management are part of our work.
A supportive team that looks out for one another is the foundation of good patient care. We treat our colleagues with the same respect, friendliness and helpfulness that we offer our patients.
OUR FOUNDERS
Our founders’ experience in Hungary and Ireland shapes the clinic’s patient-centred approach to urgent care.
Medical Director · Emergency Medicine Specialist
Dr Bakonyi gained experience in emergency medicine in both Hungary and Ireland, treating acute conditions across a range of specialties. His work is guided by European clinical guidelines and each patient’s individual needs.
Working abroad and teaching junior doctors reinforced his belief that clinical guidelines should be reviewed regularly to support patient-centred care.
General Practitioner · Experienced in urgent care
Dr Bakonyi began working as a GP in Ireland in 2005. From 2007 to 2020, he was part of the medical team at the VHI Swiftcare clinics in Dublin, gaining experience in urgent care and minor emergencies.
His professional interests include practical dermatology, healthcare quality improvement, risk management and patient safety.
